Linking Discord Server

The Discord Integration brings your Scraplet broadcast tools directly into your community guild. Moderators and co-hosts can use dedicated slash commands to trigger graphics, clear overlay queues, or dispatch alerts directly from text channels.

1. Invite the Discord Bot

To add our verified Discord bot companion to your server:

  1. Log into the Scraplet Dashboard.
  2. Go to the Integrations panel in the left-hand navigation.
  3. Locate the Discord Integration card and click Invite Bot.
  4. Select your target server from the Discord authorization dropdown menu.
  5. Review and grant the requested permissions (Slash Commands, Send Messages, Read Message History).
  6. Click Authorize.

2. Bind Server with Scraplet Account

Once the bot is added to your server, you must associate the guild with your specific Scraplet creator account:

Linking Command:

Navigate to an admin or private staff channel on your Discord server and type:

/link token: [your-secret-integration-token]

You can copy your unique Secret Integration Token directly from the Scraplet Dashboard Integrations tab. Once executed, the bot will post a confirmation: Server linked to stream overlay account: Sardwyn! 🚀

3. Setting up Moderator Permissions

To prevent random server members from triggering overlay cards, Scraplet checks Discord role credentials before executing slash commands:

Broadcaster / Guild Owner Full, unhindered permission to execute any overlay commands and configure bindings.
Moderator Role Gating By default, only users with **Administrator** or **Manage Guild** privileges can invoke `/lower-third` or `/clear` commands. You can assign custom moderator roles inside the Scraplet Dashboard settings.
