Widget Library & Templates
The Scraplet Widget Library lets you save complex element states and designs as **Named Templates**. Once saved, these templates can be triggered instantly on the live stream canvas using simple chat bot commands (via Scrapbot) or Discord integrations.
1. Saving a Layer as a Template
To capture the visual styling of an element (such as a highly customized Lower Third or container alert card):
- Select the target layer (or group) on the editor canvas.
- In the Right Sidebar Inspector, click the Save as Template button (located at the bottom of the layer settings).
- Name the template (e.g.,
interview_tagorhype_alert). Template names must be lowercase with underscores. - Click Export to Library.
- The template configuration, along with its custom typography, animations, borders, and asset files, is saved to your central dashboard **Widget Library**.
2. Execution via Scrapbot Commands
Once saved, templates act as dynamic blueprint scripts. You can invoke them on your stream at any time by calling Scrapbot's execution commands:
Executing templates via chat:
Type the following command in your Kick or Twitch chat:
!lowerthird [template_name] [Title] | [Subtitle] Example:
!lowerthird interview_tag John Doe | Software Engineer
The Scrapbot command instantly intercepts the arguments, serializes the template values, and displays your beautifully styled interview_tag lower-third on-screen in real time!
3. Managing Templates in the Dashboard
You don't need to load the full canvas editor to manage your templates. Go directly to the **Widget Library** tab on the central Scraplet Dashboard:
